Back in Kato Zakros

Kato Zakros is always a nice stop for me, due the nice walkings and due Christina and Jorgos from Taverna Glaros. Many people come there to do hiking, mainly to walk through the Dead´s Gorge which I have already walked quite a few times. Another nice walk I did earlier this year was Pelekita Cave , so I needed to look for something new. Meeting new people, enjoying time by the sea, that is enough to do in Kato Zakros beside the walks.

Having a wine in Taverna Glaros.

In the end of the beach (opposite side of Pelekita Cave), you can find well marked trail with red dots to Xerokambos. This walk is following the seaside and is aprox 10 km one way. Some places rocky, but relatively easy to walk.

Remember to close/leave the gates how you found them!

There can´t be to many thing to eat for these goats in this rocky area, right?

I didn´t walk until Xerokambos, but made still a very nice walk maybe on the half way and back. Sunny day and not too hot, good for doggy too!
